This term was started by completing a calender. My theme for the calender is places around the world. In the first month I choose to do the pyramids of Giza. In my picture I used the clone tool, to add more pyramids to create this faded look to the image. I also added higher levels of greens and red to this photo. I also added camels to the image using the lasso tool and the move tool. I also used a filter to create this effect.
In the calendar itself I used the paint application to create the moon phases above. I also added in some interesting facts about the month of September. On the side of the image I had some interesting facts about the pyramids.

The picture for October I chose was the Netherlands. The Netherlands is famous for their flowers and windmills. In the month of October the task was to use the clone tool and the color replacement tool. I used the clone tool by cloning one of the windmills. I added one of the windmills by using the lasso tool, and the move tool. I changed the color of the sky by using the color replacement tool, from the color in the flowers. I also used the posterize filter to create a poster like effect.
In the month of November I choose to do Paris for the next location. The task was to use the color replacement tool, and the clone tool. For the color replacement tool I made the color of the sky the same color as the street. For the clone tool I cloned the trees on the right hand side, and added more to the left side of the image shown. I also added a filter to the image, as well as I adjusted the brightness. For the line drawing I choose to do the Eiffel tower. I added a blur effect to the image as well as I sharpened the edges , and added some color to the image.
In the month of December the task was to create a photo with at least fifty percent of your own art work used. I created Stonehenge, which is located in the United Kingdom, Europe. I used adobe Illustrator to create the line drawing ,and added the words ‘Stonehenge’. I used the brush tool in Photoshop to create the image. I used the brush tool to create the grass at the bottom as well as the clouds in the image. I used the smudge tool to create the different hues of grey in the image.
For the month of January the assignment was to use the draw on a line, and at least 50% of your own artwork. For my artwork I used the color replacement tool, and used the color of the water and added it the sky to make it the same color. I also used the smudge tool to smudge out the colors to make them blend. I also added white into the sky to make it appear to be clouds. I also used the clone tool to add more palm trees in the sky. I also added blue to the tops of the umbrella’s using the paint tool. I used adobe illustrator program to create the Turks and Caicos wording on the ocean line.
For the month of February the task was to use two new tools. For the location I choose to do Moscow, Russia. One of the tools I learned was the dodge tool. I used the dodge tool to make the Cathedral appear brighter in color. I also used the burn tool to make the sky appear darker, as well as the street appear darker. I also used the free form pen tool to create the heart in the upper right hand corner, to represent Valentine’s day. I used the paint tool to color in the heart. I also used the smudge tool to create the effect shown in the sky.
For the month of March the task was to create an image using two new tools. The photo I choose is an image from Amsterdam. One of the tools I used was the clone stamp tool to add the images of the leaves floating in the air. I also used the spot healing brush tool, to remove the images of bikes from the sidewalk. I also used the dodge tool to brighten the houses and the lights. I used the burn tool to make the water appear darker. Lastly, I used the filter accented edges to created a painting like effect.
