For the month of April the task was to create an image with 50% of your own artwork. My location I picked was Big Ben in London, England. I choose to color the sky greyish blue and then proceeded to use the burn tool to darken, and I used the smudge tool to add a cloud like effect. I used the brush tool to create a grey road and took out the people on the side walk using the spot healing tool. I also used the dodge tool to brighten Big Ben and the red lights as well as the street light.
For the month of May the task was to create an image using fifty percent of personal artwork. I choose to pick Italy for this month. In the image I found this line drawing of the Coliseum In Rome, Italy. To create the image I used a filter to give the photo a more rustic look. I also edited the brightness and contrast. I also colored in the trees with the brush tool. Lastly, I used the burn tool to create darker edges in the image. I also added a sky background to the image.
For the month of June the task was to create a soul collage. Using magazine clippings I took shapes and photos from many different magazines. I mostly used architecture magazines and home magazines. I took different shapes to make everything fit perfectly together. I used many photos including various outside images, due to the idea that I love the outdoors. I also included a coffee mug to show my passion for caffeine, as well as images that represent my soul.
